What kinds of projects does Vierra Fine Homes take on?
We specialize in master-planned estates, custom homes, high-end renovations, additions, ADUs and pool houses, design/build collaborations, and select hospitality and light commercial work — all across California's wine country and the greater Bay Area.
Do you work with our architect, or do you have one in-house?
Both. Many of our clients arrive with their architect already chosen, and we partner closely with their design team. For others, we lead a fully integrated design/build process under one roof.
What does the process look like from first conversation to move-in?
Discovery → Design Collaboration → Detailed Proposal → Build & Deliver. We meet on your land, listen to how you live, develop the design alongside our team and your architect, deliver a comprehensive proposal (never an estimate), and execute with direct ownership oversight from foundation to final finish.
How long does a custom home typically take?
Every project is unique, but ground-up custom residences in our region generally run 14–24 months from groundbreaking to certificate of occupancy. We'll provide a project-specific schedule in your detailed proposal.
Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?
Yes — Licensed CA General Building Contractor (CSLB B946973), bonded, and fully insured. We are also BBB Accredited and a 5.0-rated firm on Houzz.
What does fire-conscious or wildland-urban-interface (WUI) construction mean for my project?
Much of wine country sits in WUI zones, which carry specific code requirements around materials, vents, decks, and defensible space. We design and build to those standards as a baseline, and advise on additional fire-resistant strategies appropriate for your land.
Where do you build?
Primary markets: Sonoma, Napa, Marin, and Los Angeles. Utah is coming soon. We also serve Solano, Yolo, Contra Costa, and Alameda counties — roughly a 60-mile radius from Sonoma for North Bay work. See the Service Areas page for the full city roster.
Do you build in Los Angeles or Utah?
Yes for Los Angeles — select custom homes, remodels, and design-build collaborations with the same owner-led process we use in wine country. Utah projects are on the roadmap (coming soon); start a conversation and we’ll confirm fit, travel, and schedule.
